Community Living
We were created to be in community with others. Whether it’s friends, co workers, aquaintances, family, etc., we weren’t meant to do this life alone. I think that is why we get that ache of feeling like we are missing something when we are alone, when we are trying to fight battles on our own, or when we isolate ourselves from the people around us. We have a real and genuine need and desire to be surrounded by people. People encourage you, people challenge you, people love you, people accept you, and people even sometimes rub you the wrong way. …

It’s BABY time! How do you shower a new mom with gifts, all the essentials for a baby, and all the items for a nursery… but most of all some fun, love, wisdom, and prayer? There are lots of things to do, games to play, decorations to buy, and ways to get creative when throwing a baby shower. Creativity is great. But it needs to get focused. So I took some of the toppings and wrote on the pizza “Sadies?” and had the pizza delivered to my friends front door. So I thought, why not do the same thing to celebrate mother’s day?? Of course, now I can actually make a pizza on my own and deliver it myself. But you can do it with lots of different things… pizza, pancakes, cookies, sandwiches, and snacks. You can make a shape, write mom, spell out I love you. You can get your kids to help, your friends to help, and share the love of the celebration.
So this week, I made a pizza… and I wrote MOM on the pizza.…
